Through studying for the lesson, preparing the classroom, the time spent: It is hard for a teacher. Church across America are invited to set aside Sunday, January 27, 2008, as a day to honor Christian education teachers for their dedication, hard work and life-changing impact on their students. By celebrating Sunday school, midweek and discipleship training, you can demonstrate in meaningful ways that your church places a high value on this ministry. On Christian Education Workers Appreciation Sunday, January 27, 2008, one exceptional Christian Education teacher will be announced as the 2007 Teacher of the Year. The honoree will be notified and arrangements made to present the award.

Who is Eligible? Any individual who is currently teaching and has taught Sunday school or any other Christian education program for a minimum of two years is eligible. Employees of the international Youth and Christian Education Department and and Pathway Press and their family members are not eligible, as well as employees and family members of organizations providing prizes for this award.
